MCP Server
Give AI agents your data. Keep the control.
InfuseBI has its own MCP server built in. Your team and your customers connect Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants to approved data: read-only, filtered to each person, and easy to switch off.
How it helps
InfuseBI includes a built-in MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. People connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another supported assistant by signing in and approving access. The assistant can list, describe, and query only the datasets you have approved for AI. Blocked fields stay hidden and each person's row-level security applies. Access is read-only, each workspace sets its own policy, and SaaS providers can offer it to their customers' workspaces without building or hosting an MCP server.
Who this is for
- SaaS companies giving customers AI access to their own data
- Data teams publishing approved datasets to AI assistants
- Security and IT teams who decide what AI can read
- Business users who already work in Claude or ChatGPT
Why it matters
Everyone wants to ask their AI about company data. Few can do it safely.
Assistants need real data
Teams already work in Claude and ChatGPT. Without a governed source, they paste spreadsheets into the chat.
Building an MCP server is real work
Sign-in, tokens, hosting, rate limits, audit, and isolation for every customer, all before the first answer.
Access has to follow your rules
An assistant should see exactly what that person is allowed to see, and nothing more.
How it works
Connected in minutes. Controlled from the first question.
Approve the data
Choose the datasets AI may use. Sensitive fields stay blocked.
Add InfuseBI to an assistant
A user adds InfuseBI in Claude, ChatGPT, or another supported assistant.
Sign in and approve
They sign in to InfuseBI and see exactly what the assistant is asking for before they allow it.
Ask away
The assistant answers from governed data. Disconnect it at any time.
What stays protected
The same rules as your dashboards, applied to every AI request.
Read-only
Assistants can list, describe, and query approved data. They can't change anything.
Approved datasets only
Only datasets prepared for AI are visible. Restricted datasets never appear.
Blocked fields stay hidden
Fields you mark as sensitive are never returned to the assistant.
Row-level security
Answers are filtered to the signed-in person's customer, region, or role. If their identity can't be confirmed, the request is refused.
Sign-in and consent
Standard OAuth sign-in with a consent screen that names the app and what it can do.
Workspace policy
Admins turn AI access on or off for each workspace. Providers set the limit for customer workspaces.
Disconnect any time
People see their connected assistants in their profile and can remove them in one click.
Rate limits and records
Sign-ins and requests are rate-limited, and access events are recorded.
For SaaS companies
Give every customer their own MCP server, without building one.
Your customers want to use their AI assistant with the data in your product. InfuseBI gives each customer workspace governed MCP access to its own data, within limits you set.
- ✓Each customer reaches only its own workspace's data
- ✓You decide which datasets customers can open to AI
- ✓No servers, tokens, or OAuth for your team to build and run
- ✓Works alongside embedded dashboards and customer portals

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is an MCP server?+
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT use outside tools and data. An MCP server is the service the assistant connects to. InfuseBI has one built in, so your approved data is available to supported assistants without extra infrastructure.
Can an AI assistant change our data through InfuseBI?+
No. The InfuseBI MCP server is read-only. Assistants can list, describe, and query approved datasets. They cannot edit data or settings.
Does the assistant see all of our data?+
No. It sees only datasets approved for AI, never fields you have blocked, and only the rows the signed-in person is allowed to see. If a person's identity can't be confirmed for row-level security, the request is refused.
Do we need to build or host anything?+
No. The MCP server, sign-in, consent screen, token handling, and rate limits are part of InfuseBI. An admin turns it on for the workspace and chooses the data.
Can our SaaS customers use it with their own data?+
Yes. Each customer workspace can allow MCP access to its own data, within the limits you set as the provider. Customers never reach another customer's data.
Which AI assistants are supported?+
Claude and ChatGPT, plus other assistants that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in. Confirm the assistant you plan to use during your demo.
